“I’m afraid…”
is the most commonly used Red Flag for delivering bad news or
disagreeable opinions.
Here are some examples:
A: Bring me up to
date on our sales progress.
B: I’m afraid we
didn’t meet our sales quota for the month.
A: Could we schedule
the conference for the first week of January?
B: I’m afraid Mr.
Johnson will be out of the country at that time.
A: I’ll need that
