1. According to Bluebeard, all his wives kept dying.
   
2. When he went off to war, he gave his newest wife a bunch of keys.
3. He told her not to unlock the forbidden room at the end of the hall.
   
4. But his newest wife was too curious, so she went into the forbidden room.
5. She found all his previous wives chained to the wall.
   
6. Suddenly, Bluebeard came home.
7. He knew his bride had gone into the forbidden room.
   
8. He was about to kill her when her brother burst into the room.
   
9. The brother fought and killed Bluebeard.
   
10. All of the wives were set free and became rich.
