City and Country Mouse

  1. A city mouse visited his cousin who lived in the country.
  2. The country mouse's life was very simple and he had very few possessions.
  3. They played simple games, ate simple meals, and looked at the starry sky.
  4. The city mouse soon got bored and convinced his cousin to visit his place in the city.
  5. The two mice rushed off to the nearest town and caught a bus to the city.
  6. In the city, they were nearly stepped on, almost run over, and chased by a little boy.
  7. The country mouse, however, did think the city lights were spectacular.
  8. They visited one of the finest restaurants in the city.
  9. But before they could really eat, a cat chased them away.
  10. The country mouse thought he might have a heart attack or get killed, so he went back home.
