Joseph, pt. 1

  1. Joseph was his father’s favorite son, so his eleven brothers were jealous.
  2. They were going to kill him, but sold him as a slave instead.
  3. Joseph was always dutiful in his work, and so his master put Joseph in charge of all his affairs.
  4. But the master's wife falsely accused Joseph of rape, and so Joseph was put in prison.
  5. Joseph found favor with the warden, so he put Joseph in charge of the prison.
  6. The pharaoh had a bad dream so the warden told him about Joseph, who was good at interpreting dreams.
  7. Because Joseph interpreted the pharaoh's dream, the pharoah put Joseph in charge of all Egypt's affairs.
  8. Joseph saved Egypt from a famine and became famous and lived a rich life there.
