About the Song:

A person encounters a "Zombie Walk", not realizing what it is. Though first afraid, the stranger decides to join the fun. The walk ends with a Zombie dance off. Then the "zombies" go pub crawling and talk about their favorite horror movies and shows (The Shining, Halloween, and Walking Dead).

Verse 1

At the edge of dusk, the light starts to fade,

I turned the corner, heart racing, afraid.

Twisted figures drifting through the night,

Gray skin glowing under the pale moonlight

Bruised and ragged, moving slow and strange,

Human once, now something rearranged.

I thought I could run, they were half my speed,

But I was suddenly surrounded — no way to be freed.

Left, right, front, back, closing in tight,

Surrounded by the undead in the dying light.

Pre-Chorus

Fear hit like ice, I dropped to the ground,

Arms over my head, waiting for the sound...

Chorus

Zombie walks appear out of nowhere,

Give you a scare when you're not prepared.

But they're dancing, parading through the night,

Raising money, spreading light.

Zombies at the bars, laughing loud,

Friendliest souls in any crowd.

Think the dead can't move? Watch them glide —

Monster Mash and Thriller is their style.

Verse 2

Then came laughter, voices warm and real,

A hand reached down: "Hey friend, no big deal."

"We didn't mean to freak you out tonight,

This is our walk — come join the light."

No costume needed, they welcomed me in,

We shuffled together, letting the fun begin.

Hours of makeup to look our very worst,

Comfy shoes on for the long march first.

We startled some kids (oops, accidental fright),

But smiles followed under the festival night.

Chorus

Zombie walks appear out of nowhere,

Give you a scare when you're not prepared.

But they're dancing, parading through the night,

Raising money, spreading light.

Zombies at the bars, laughing loud,

Friendliest souls in any crowd.

Think the dead can't move? Watch them glide —

Monster Mash and Thriller is their style.

Bridge

At the finale spot, the Thriller beat dropped low,

Zombies walk slow, but watch the dance show.

Awkward steps turn sharp, half-splits, rhythm flows,

Half-dead beats stealing the glow.

The bass keeps thumping, the crowd starts to sway,

Rotten limbs flying in a wild display.

We spin and we drop, defying the grave,

Zombies own the night when the music is played.

Then five pubs deep, we talked through the night —

"The Shining" topped the list, "Halloween" right behind,

"The Walking Dead" binge-worthy to the end.

Chorus

Zombie walks appear out of nowhere,

Give you a scare when you're not prepared.

But they're dancing, parading through the night,

Raising money, spreading light.

Zombies at the bars, laughing loud,

Friendliest souls in any crowd.

Think the dead can't move? Watch them glide —

Monster Mash and Thriller is their style.

Zombie walk surprise...

Under the twilight sky...

No more fear, just the night alive...
